Lionel Bouchard lived in his humble rancher in Elie, Manitoba for over 50 years until kicked out of his home by his son Andy Bouchard, his wife Angie, his daughters Lynda Staub and Claire Demery in January 2006 after recovering from a concussion in a slip and fall accident on ice at the church while attending a friend's funeral. ​

Lionel Bouchard, against his will, was drugged and moved to a low-rental housing complex in St. Eustache Manitoba despite having a life estate agreement with his son Andy Bouchard!
