Lionel Bouchard loved flowers, plants ~ yet NOT ONE flower was present at his funeral......
No wreath......Only one inconspicuous urn ~ Lionel's ashes ~ as a lasting memory...
Lionel Bouchard was treated disdainfully in death ~ same as in life ~ by his children of Manitoba & Wisconsin & Lloydminster....Certainly not the Catholic Biblical tradition of "Honoring your parents" - one of the Ten Commandments which religion they were raised to follow - of which obeying and confession was part of their early lives ~ but obviously no longer adhered to based on all their heinous actions...
Catholic Mass held mid-morning in winter in Winnipeg, inconvenient for all senior friends & other family members to attend...
Yet, ironically, the internment occurred at Lionel Bouchard`s Church Graveyard in Elie, Manitoba, immediately after the luncheon at St. Paul`s Church on Portage Avenue ~ a final snub to his father who they admitted they detested with a passion, which their actions further confirmed....
Having lived in Elie all his life and for sentimental reasons, Lionel Bouchard would have preferred his Celebration of Life take place among ALL his friends ~ made impossible by the deliberate despicable snub to members of the Cartier Municipality whom Lionel had served all his life, over twenty-five years as grader operator, where he was well known in the community.......

10 years later after his slip & fall & eviction from his humble
farm home in Elie, Manitoba, of over 50 years !
Vicious greedy spiteful children celebrating their father's
passing - finally, after giving grief to their own father in his final years of his life at age 90, Lionel Bouchard succumbed ~ stripped of all his world possession, a lonely & of a broken heart. Treated horrifically in his last years - threatened, lied to, blackmailed, abused constantly, tossed aside like a dirty rag by these children above !!!!
