Charge of assault by Lynda Staub. Marlene Légaré acquitted. Andy Bouchard installed an "illegal" chain on the inside of his father's room at the St. Eustache Manor in order to prevent any contact between his father and sister! Manitoba Housing ordered the illegal chain be removed!

The illegal chain in Lionel Bouchard's room at the St. Eustache Manor was installed by Andy Bouchard designed to keep his sister from contacting her father.  There was no one who witnessed the chain and door being damaged and there were many visitors including Lynda Staub, Bob Staub, Roland Bouchard.
Also it came to the judge's, prosecutor and defense lawyer only after the trial that this was an illegal chain whereby no charges can be laid for something that is illegal as was this chain which Manitoba Housing ordered removed immediately!
