Lionel Bouchard claims to have been "drugged" on several key occasions by son Andy Bouchard and daughters Lynda ​Staub and Claire Demery.

                 "Street drugs" common, victim appears "normal" 
                 yet has no recollection of events while drugged.

Rohypnol is a very common "date rape drug" whereby the victim has no recollection of events and is easily accessible on the "street".

Lionel Bouchard informed his lawyer Winston Smith, that on several critical incidences, mainly when appearing in court, that despite normally having a very good memory, he has no recolletion of those events.  Lionel claims he believes he was "drugged" as in each of those Lionel had been in direct contact with his son Andy Bouchard.

For example, Lionel has no memory of attending court for a Peace Bond against his daughter from B.C., this after sleeping overnight at Andy & Angie Bouchard's house in Portage La Prairie, along with his two daughters Lynda Staub and Claire Demery the night prior to the hearing.  It wasn't until he was in B.C. and read the transcript, was he made aware of this event.

Another incident occured in August 2008 while at his lawyer's with Mike Slegers, while Andy Bouchard waited outside the office, on the pretense of Andy negotiating to buy his father a house in Elie. However, Andy was simply stalling his father from returning to court to obtain a possession order scheduled in court in the next few days.

Lionel has no recollection of an unscheduled appointment with Winston Smith, nor the content of the conversations relayed by Mike Slegers whereby Andy Bouchard claimed that the septic and well were an issue on the farm - this in order to prevent his father from returning home!  Lionel was reminded afterwards that the "septic tank" had just been replaced and the "well" was not of an issue as it also serviced other neighbours,  Once again, these were all false claims made by Andy to impede the wheels of justice and his father's return to his home in Elie.

​Interestingly, Mike Slegers "reported" Johnny for his "red heat lamps"
inferring that Johnny was growing marijuana - a claim the RCMP
quickly dismissed in disgust as another of Mike's incessant and
yet again unfounded reporting of community members ~ all the
while Mike Slegers claiming to be on Crime Watch - he himself being the
biggest criminal himself around!
           Johnny told his friend Lionel Bouchard that he had a dream that
Lionel's coffee was laced with drugs and warned him not to
drink or eat in the presence of his son or any daughters in
​Manitoba!
