Lawyer Hope Buset unaware the large chain installed by Andy Bouchard inside Lionel Bouchard's door at the St. Eustache Manor is "illegal" and against Manitoba Housing Regulations.
Andy was ordered to remove the chain immediately when it came to their attention.
Lionel had been given orders not to leave the complex as the next shift of "guards" was on their way - Lynda Staub who calls in Bob Staub as well to sleep over to "guard" their father against their sister.

In his witness statement to the RCMP Laurent claims he did not see anything. Months later on the stand, Laurent Houde changes his testimony to say that he saw pieces of chain on the floor inside the room but confirms he did not see who actually broke the chain.
Andy Bouchard had posted a "No Trespass" sign outside his father's door in the Manor whereby the tenants complaint to Manitoba Housing and is ordered to remove the notice.
