In August 2008, Lionel Bouchard was escorted by twoprivate investigators hired by Lionel's lawyer to catch a direct airplane to Regina Airport to B.C.
Two other private investigators were forced to request assistance of the Headingley RCMP to retrieve Lionel's confiscated van locked in a shed at Mike Slegers' in St. Francois.
The van was further barricaded by a boat and fifth wheel in front of the locked door.
Andy Bouchard and athird party, described as most likely Roland Bouchard, appeared to stall the recovery.
Later that night, Susie Waldner and Johnny Lafreniere observed Andy Bouchard and Mike Slegers hiding in the bushes overnight - anticipating the arrival of the completely overloaded van as Mike Slegers and Andy had loaded the unit from front to back, top to bottom, with Lionel Bouchard's possessions, unable to travel to B.C. with that much weight and hampered vision, not to mention smell of maliciously spilled acid.
The next morning, Mike Slegers admitted to Susie Waldner that he had been up until 7:00 a.m.
Susie Waldner and Johnny Lafreniere made a report to the Headingley RCMP ~ fearing that HARM had been intended for the driver and any passenger of the vehicle headed to B.C.
