Lynda Staub took advantage of her mother's illness to take out a loan using her mother's car as security, without Jeannette Van Steelant's husband's knowledge, allegedly also without her mother's knowledge and consent.

Lynda Staub had power of attorney at that time.

 Lynda and Bob Staub remortgaged their house, (lot given by Bob's mother in the 70's) on March 22, 2006.

Jeannette Van Steelant admitted that she had given Lynda Staub thousands and thousands of dollars over the years, so much you would not believe she stated, supporting Lynda's husband and two girls at a time when Bob Staub was out of work for over three years!  All the family event meals held at Lynda's were because her house was larger than her Mom's and more room for all the grandchildren.  However, all the cost of food and liquor was borne by her mother Jeannette!
